So nursing a 2 1/2 year old definitely has is quirks. There is always something new and his mind is always trying to figure things out and make connections.
Lately G has realized that his beloved "da-da's" are also part of his mom. Gasp, you mean they were not his and his alone? They are actually connected to her and can not travel across the room freely? The horror!!
He has also discovered they have many different names. This leads to two of his new favorite words..... Boobies and Nipples!
G is the kind of child that talks through everything. The hands on kind that jumps right in the middle of things to learn. You know this kind of person, a very hands on learner. He lights up when he finally has it "all figured out" and is very eager to show and tell me all about whatever it is.
Well this time it is, " Mommy, milk is in your boobies and I drink it from your nipples". Very good son. You have just learned a very important fact of life. Mommy is very proud of you, now please stop yelling this out EVERYWHERE we go!
I'm sure you can imagine the looks of shock and horror we get as my preschooler yells this in public here in the very modest, sheltered bible belt :) Well I suppose we will educate everyone on nursing beyond 1 year ever if we hadn't intended to.
